The club is always keen to welcome new members. As part of the GNAS rules (the national archery body of which we are a part) all beginners must undergo beginner training before being allowed to join a club and shoot. We run a beginners' course during June every year. In 2008 the course will take place on Tuesdays 10th, 17th and 24th June from 6pm to 8pm. The cost is £50 for adults (age 18+) and £30 for juniors (aged 14 - 17 years). The course fee covers insurance, the cost of tuition and the provision of all necessary equipment. Having completed the course, beginners may apply to join the club. For further details or to put your name down for the course email us at info@tockingtonarchers.co.uk

To join the club, the senior membership fee (aged 18 and over) is £30 PLUS affiliation fees to the GNAS, GWAS and GAS (in 2008/09 the affiliation fees amounted to £46). See the section on Archery in the UK for more details of these organisations. For junior members the fee is only £10, with the club subsidising junior archery by paying the affiliation fees for all three organisations (GNAS, GWAS, GAS) out of club funds.

The club fee covers shooting facilities, indoors and outdoors, but to cover wear and tear on equipment, we ask club members to pay a shooting fee of 30p each session they shoot. A notebook to record attendance is kept in the club hut. Additionally, if you have completed our Beginners' Course and are not yet in a position to buy your own equipment, you are welcome to continue using the club's beginners' equipment for a few weeks after the course has finished, but we ask you to pay £1.00 per session for this, plus the 30p shooting fee.

If you are interested in joining the club then please feel free to come along to any one of our evening sessions or email us at info@tockingtonarchers.co.uk for further details. To download an application form click here. If the application is for junior membership then please contact the club at info@tockingtonarchers.co.uk. We also ask that all new members read and agree to abide by our club constitution and safety rules.
